Police said they found Joseph Thomas Lee Lopez behind a home in a shed after a caller’s report that someone was trying to enter their home. While confronting Lopez, one officer fired their gun, killing him, according to Greensboro police.
Joseph Thomas Lee Lopez was unarmed.
On Monday, Lopez was pulled over in a pre-text stop for allegedly having a fake license plate. A deputy then searched the vehicle and called for backup (why?). That’s when Lopez allegedly got into the vehicle to run away, leaving a female passenger on the side of the road. NC Police are now grooming the public to believe that Lopez was a “wanted man” because of a license plate and using it to justify killing him.
Fuck the police.
