We’re seeing a serious escalation against water protectors in the fight to stop Line 3. The police have barricaded Indigenous pipeline fighters in camps to contain direct actions. They harass and surveil activists on the roads. And they have used escalated charges and bails to stifle our dissent.
July 14 at 8pm EST/7pm CST/6pm MST/5pm PST. It will run two hours.
We stand firm. And we stand firmly with the Indigenous-led movement to stop this pipeline.
Since December, over 500 people have been arrested disrupting construction on Line 3. Over the weekend, new actions disrupted pipeline construction in northern Minnesota.
We need you to join them in taking action.
This Wednesday, there will be another virtual direct action training to stop Line 3.
It will be on July 14 at 8pm EST/7pm CST/6pm MST/5pm PST. It will run two hours.
The training will cover principles of direct action (strategy & tactics), what to take to an action and how to plan an action. It will also cover what you need to know about coming to support the frontlines. This is an Indigenous-led movement and we’re following those leaders on the ground in Minnesota.
Line 3 is a proposed pipeline to bring nearly a million barrels of toxic tar sands per day from Alberta, Canada to Superior, Wisconsin– through sacred wild rice beds, and the headwaters of the Mississippi. Grassroots resistance to the Line 3 pipeline has resulted in hundreds of actions across the country, and around the world.
Our goal is to stop it. To do that, we need you. RSVP here.
