The Homestead community is calling for Police Chief Jeff Desimone to step down after a video surfaced of him screaming, in a protracted profanity-laced rant at a pregnant woman waiting in the drive-thru of a local Giant Eagle pharmacy.
“Who are you to tell me to tell me I need to move? (To) go back around and get behind you, and wait again when I was here first? For you to pull up and turn your lights on and intimidate me, that’s unacceptable,” “It was absolutely unnecessary stress for myself, my unborn child. At the time he was balling up, I had my 5-year-old in the back. He’s coughing,” explained Stewart.

Kahmahlai Stewart didn’t catch the police lights on her cellphone, but eventually started recording the encounter while several months pregnant, with a sick child in the back seat. In the video, you can hear Desimone, who is parked behind Stewart, maskless & yelling at her to move her car from the drive-thru window because it was taking too long to get her prescription.
Stewart said the chief, who was in an unmarked truck and wasn’t in uniform, put on his lights to get her to leave. She declined to do so.
Desimone continued to yell at her & the employees, then called two other maskless officers to the drive-thru.
Stewart told us she has an attorney who is reviewing the video. She is also asking for the chief to step down.
